This green coffee is selected by our partner Sucafina, with special consideration for both the environment and growers. Sucafina’s quality team has selected specific lots from a variety of small farmers to produce a consistent coffee that represents the Indonesian flavor profile, using the unique giling basah processing method.
Giling basah allows the green coffee to retain a higher moisture content for a longer period than normal after harvest. The raw coffee will be more blue-gray-green than anything else we roast, and when you roast it, you get a distinctive cup, classically Indonesian. You can brew your roasted coffee both as filter and espresso and get a strong cup, with low acidity. Notes of dark chocolate, herbs and pine in the background.
This green coffee is from the 21-22 harvest. That’s why we sell it cheaper here on the website.
