We want you to be completely safe when you share your personal data with us. We take it very seriously, if you continue reading here you will understand how and why.The data controller is Kafferosteriet Koppar AB, with organization number 559011-6207.
What is personal data?
Examples of personal data are name, social security number, address, e-mail and telephone number. Information that can be directly linked to a living person. It can also be customer numbers and electronic information, such as IP address.
How do we use your personal data?
We need personal data to do our job. In some cases, we need to share the data you provide with us, so in order to send you our freshly roasted coffee, we need your address. We also need your e-mail address to send you an order confirmation and to communicate if something goes wrong with the delivery. The phone number is needed to notify you of the delivery. Since we are a coffee roaster and not a shipping company, we have to share this information with a shipping company, such as DHL.
And we also want to get paid. Here we use Klarna and your personal data is therefore shared with them.
We also have a newsletter, where we use your email. We would never think of sharing it with anyone outside the roastery, but we use one of the most common systems on the market to send out our newsletters. Your e-mail will therefore end up with them, on our account.
So far just the obvious, but when it comes to the use of e.g. cookies, things get a bit more interesting. This is how we think:
Companies have always wanted to communicate with their customers and as many people as possible who have shown interest. After a purchase, you want to e.g. reach out and ask if the customer is satisfied or ask if it’s time to buy again soon. Traditionally, this has been done by telephone and physical mail.
Today, social media and other digital solutions have replaced analog.
We want to stay in touch with you. We are a company that has cut out all the middlemen and wants to handle all communication itself. To make this work smoothly, we share cookies with e.g. Google, Facebook and Instagram, so that they can display our communications to you.
In the future, we may add a few more external systems, but if so, it will only be to enable us to manage and develop the company. Should our company be sold or merged with another company, your information will be shared with that company as well.
How long do we keep your personal data?
We keep your information for as long as we have reason to do so, or as long as you are a returning customer. We have processes in place to not keep data longer than necessary. In our customer database, the information is saved for a maximum of 3 years from our last contact, but according to Swedish accounting law, we need to save all relevant information for each individual purchase for 8 years and we need to comply with this.
We protect your data!
Only those employees in the roastery who need your data have access to it. Now, we are a small family business so there are not many people involved, but we have still taken as many eyes off the processes as possible.
Decide for yourself!
At any time, you can ask us to change or completely delete your personal data. The only thing you can’t ask is that we waive the legislation regarding keeping records for 8 years, here we are locked.
Important: This policy may change over time.
If we need to correct something that has gone wrong, adapt systems or make changes because laws change, we may change this privacy policy at any time. Now that you’ve come this far, the last word may not be said, but feel free to come back and visit this page regularly for current policies!
