Finca La Joya is the jewel of the coffee country that is passionate about its coffee. In the western part of the country, in the village of Apaneca, 189 hectares of bourbon bushes grow in the shadows of other rainforest trees.
We roast this green coffee ourselves for espresso. Not because it is the most common for El Salvador, but because we want to show that it also looks great in a small cup! The end result is an elegant and modern espresso. We like to enjoy it plain without milk to really feel the origin, but with a little, little milk in it, the edges soften and we get a soft and creamy mouthfeel. The baking spices, cinnamon and cloves, are big and stick around. The dark chocolate and sandalwood brighten up the cup.
The same roasting degree that you use to roast for espresso can of course also be used for filter brewing. The result is a full-bodied and rich cup, where you don’t have to be afraid to spoil the fine coffee with a splash of milk.
