At the foot of the snow-capped Rwenzori Mountains, with shady trees sheltering the coffee plants, premium arabica ripens in air as crystal clear as the water streaming down from the glacier. From here we get an incomparably tasty berry-dried coffee! We roast this coffee ourselves a few shades darker than we usually do. The result is a well-developed coffee for filter brewing and a wonderful espresso.
By roasting it a little darker, the elements of dried fruit and cocoa are enhanced. The sweetness is mild, in the direction of almonds or pistachios, and we enjoy a creamy cup with great mouthfeel. It is with great devotion that we start our coffee roast for this delicious coffee. In the homes of the small farmers, where the coffee berries grew up, cassava, maize, potatoes and other edible crops are grown and kept by the families themselves. Coffee is their livelihood, so take advantage of it – enjoy the fact that with every cup you contribute to biodiversity and a better life for these families!
This green coffee arrived at the roastery on February 9, 2024 and is from the 2023 harvest.
