Region: Guji and Yirgacheffe, Ethiopia
Producer: Small producers who count their coffee farms in number of trees
Variety: Ethiopian Heirloom
Cultivation altitude: 2000 m
Process: Washed
This washed green coffee was handpicked by one of our partners from small farmers in the Guji and Yirgacheffe regions. In these corners, there are plenty of coffee growers who measure their gardens in numbers of coffee bushes, rather than in area. Not a single berry is picked too early or missed on time – every bean is the grower’s treasure.
The sweet and fruity profile represents incredibly well the classic notes we look for in a coffee from Ethiopia. It is creamy, creamy and offers an enchanting sweetness. It is candied lemon mingling with notes of caramel, black tea and jasmine. As with most coffees from here, it’s easier to get it perfect if you filter brew it, but if you roast the raw coffee a few shades darker, you’ll have all the conditions for a magical espresso too!
