Mario Acosta owns the Finca Atzumpa farm in El Salvador. On several occasions, the family coffee farm has distinguished itself among the country’s coffees, placing at the top of the respected Cup of Excellence. Both the farm and the country have a long history of producing incredibly well-balanced coffees ever since the first coffee bushes were planted in El Salvador, in the late 18th century.
Roast this coffee medium and you’ll enjoy soft and silky textures. Both caramel and milk chocolate are among the primary aromas, then jammy berries appear in the aroma.
The coffee is prepared using the honey method. Here, Mario Acosta has removed the skins from the coffee berries without using water. The beans are then dried on raised beds. This method gives an unrivaled sweetness, resulting in a smooth and very tasty coffee.
Our promise to you who roast yourself is to always give you the very best conditions: A hand-picked green coffee from the freshest possible harvest.
Since we primarily roast our own coffee, but also sell it unroasted, we are very keen to ensure that all our green coffee is from the freshest possible harvest. Because just as coffee should always be freshly roasted when you drink it, the freshness of the green coffee also has a huge impact on the end result.
