In the highlands of Palestine, Huila, 214 small-scale producers work together in the El Puente project – an initiative that combines sustainable farming with a focus on quality. Through berry drying on raised beds, local storage, and direct sales to the specialty coffee market, both better conditions for farmers and a green coffee with a clear identity are created.
The dry processing method minimizes water consumption and maximizes aroma richness. In this lot – consisting of Castillo, Caturra and Bourbon – you get a high-density green coffee with broad flavor potential for filter roasting. A balanced roast profile highlights notes of dried stone fruit, tropical sweetness and a chocolate-like round body, with aromatic breadth and lively aftertaste.
For home roasters with a sense of process and origin, this is a coffee that delivers both technically and sensorially. El Puente is not just a link between farmers and market – it’s a bridge between taste, sustainability and the future.
This green coffee arrived at the roastery on March 4, 2025 and is from the 2024 harvest.
