This raw coffee has been grown in harmony with nature, by smallholder farmers in southern Tanzania. The farmers are members of the Ilomba Best cooperative and are paid according to results. If they pick only the ripe berries, take good care of their coffee bushes, and develop the quality year by year, they also get paid better year by year, creating a virtuous circle.
We roast this coffee ourselves medium-bright and enjoy it as filter coffee. The cup is still relatively full-bodied, with clear notes of dark chocolate and aromas of dark berries, in a slightly more jammy direction. If the cup is allowed to cool, then all the nuances really emerge. It is a wonderful coffee!
