The average Peruvian coffee farmer has about 3 hectares of coffee cultivation and many small ones meet in different cooperatives. Cooperatives train and develop, and the combined strength of many small ones has made Peru one of the world’s largest exporters of organically grown coffee.
Cooperative Sol y Café has shipped us a coffee that offers mild notes of cocoa, hazelnut and a light vanilla spice. The transition to the sweet blackberries is gradual as the cup comes down in temperature and we particularly enjoy the sweet apple notes with red berries in the soft aftertaste.
