The AeroPress was invented in 2004 by Stanford engineer Alan Adler, the man behind the Frisbee, or rather the ring that can be thrown farther than a regular Frisbee (and as such broke world records).
The original product has, more or less, looked the same ever since. It is incredibly smooth and makes a fantastic coffee. We sell it HERE. In 2019, Alan released his AeroPress Go. Smoother, easier to carry – makes the same great coffee. We sell AeroPress Go HERE. He then sold the company and in 2023 AeroPress Clear was launched as one of the first products that the new owners have now put on the market. It is made of a new material (Tritan™), is said to last better and does not get dirty over time. It’s more expensive, it makes the same coffee, is it worth the extra money? If you don’t have an Aeropress today, then of course you just have to buy one. It is a magical coffee maker! If you want the latest and greatest, and are prepared to pay a little extra for it, then buy this. Personally, we would probably still go for the Go variant. It feels the coolest so far!
And yes, this Clear variant “only” comes with 100 filters. The Go variant comes with 350 pieces in the package. 😉
