Different coffees weigh different amounts. Even if you think that your coffee measure always contains 7 grams, it can go up or down by 20% depending on where the coffee comes from, whether it is completely fresh, how it is roasted, etc. For best results, weigh the coffee you brew each time.
There are different types of scales. Here we have selected the one we think is the most attractive and which is also suitable for weighing other things than coffee. So you use it for everything you need to weigh in the kitchen at home. It lacks a timer, which is available on e.g. Hario’s scale, but that’s offset by the fact that it’s sturdy, works better for other things than coffee – and is so elegant.
The scale weighs up to 2 kg with an accuracy of 0.1 grams, has an HD quality LED display, a tare function of course and switches off automatically after 3 minutes if not in use. In addition, it is compatible with both iPhone and Android (where there is also a timer function). We’ll admit that we’ve never used the app functions ourselves, but Wilfa’s SVART application, which you connect to the scale via Bluetooth, gives tips on how to brew better and shows the ratio of water to coffee. If you use it daily, you will need to change the battery about once a year.
